One such first-year 4-door 1969 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R is up for grabs on BringaTrailer with a white paint job and some clean, classic lines. Interested? Then bid up.

The Skyline GT-R nameplate debuted in 1968 in Japan but went to the public in 1969. The very same year the Skyline 2000 GT-R debuted in the lineup as a sports model. This 4-door beast lasted for only two years until late-1970, after which the 2-door variant replaced it.
This high-performance sedan was Nissan’s top bet for Japan’s national touring car racing series in the late-60s. It took home 52 wins in just three years with 49 of them being straight wins between 1969 and 1971 that gave it a status of a JDM Legend.
This performance-bred Skyline 2000 GT-R carries a 2.0-liter S20 inline-6 hammering out 160 horsepower. Other key features include triple side-draft Mikuni-Solex carburetors, 5-speed manual transmission, front-strut suspension, 14″ Watanabe wheels, independent semi-trailing arm rear suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. The insides also boast a fixed-back driver seat, a Japanese AM radio, and a roll bar for safety.

This Hakosuka GT-R is thoroughly maintained by one of the owners of JDM Legends who imported it in 2013. One of the ex-JDM Legends team members, Ryan, states in the comments that it was not in a running condition when it reached them but with proper tuning, the S20 engine came back to life.
Other work included overhauling the brakes and rebuilding the carburetors. The removed master cylinder and calipers come with the car.
This particular example bears chassis #102. It’s finished in white and wears fender-mounted mirrors, chrome-finished trim, and GT-R badging. The selling dealer also says that areas that have been poorly touched up, and there are dings in the body as well as dents in the bumpers. There is some rust in the lower areas of the bodywork.
A GT-R-exclusive Sports Corner service plate is on the engine’s firewall. Its offered on dealer consignment with removed and spare parts plus the exportation paperwork and an ownership registry. It comes with a clean Florida title in the current owner’s name. The current bid stands at $34,000 and there are still 10 days left to win this JDM classic.
