Full line steering and suspension

Delphi Technology Aftermarket has announced plans to implement a full range of steering and suspension products by 2020, and launched the product line in North America last year. By the end of this year, Delphi Technologies is expected to be able to provide 99% steering and suspension sales coverage. Its products have been rigorously tested and manufactured to match OE performance and accuracy, including control arms, tie rod ends, inner tie rods and tie rod assemblies, rocker links, ball joints, track control arms, bushings, bellows kits, and steering kits.

"Steering and suspension are a huge growth story for us," said Chad Smith, vice president of North American aftermarket. "Our strong global footprint allows us to bring our successful European product line to the North American market, and since its launch in February 2017, we have significantly expanded our sales coverage."

Mevotech has introduced 50 new parts in its chassis parts catalog. The parts introduction expands the coverage of Mevotech's Supreme and TTX: Terran Tough Xtreme brands, 37 of which have engineering enhancements to increase strength and durability. Mevotech Supreme has added 31 new parts, 22 of which have innovative engineering enhancements for specific applications. These latest versions of the Mevotech Supreme brand feature 11 first-market parts, including the 2016-2018 Honda Civic’s front lower control arm and ball joint assembly. Released in December also included 15 new items in the TTX chassis component series, including 8 control arms, 4 tie rod ends and 3 ball joints. The most notable is the front upper control arm and ball joint assembly of the 2004-2018 Ford F-150.

"Mevotech continues to focus on making better parts for the aftermarket suspension," said Brian Rossi, vice president of engineering at Mevotech. "After-sales suspension is very different from a new car obtained from a new car dealer. This is why technicians rely on Mevotech's innovative engineering design for chassis repairs."

TRW has added 214 SKUs to its branded corner module product line.

ZF Aftermarket will launch more "true original" TRW parts in 2019 and add 676 parts to its Corner Module product line. This expansion enables more vehicles to use TRW's high-quality OE braking, steering and suspension components. In the fourth quarter of 2018, the TRW brand added 214 SKUs to the TRW corner module product line, including 136 chassis parts, covering more than 151 million vehicles in transit, and 69 suspension parts covering more than 110 million vehicles in transit. And 9 brake parts cover more than 4 million vehicles in operation.

Arnott has introduced additional new and remanufactured OE rear shock absorbers for Mercedes-Benz E-Class and CLS-Class models.

The after-sales shock absorption SK-3012 designed by Arnott is suitable for the third-generation E-Class (W211 chassis) and the first-generation CLS-Class (W219 chassis), both equipped with AIRMATIC and ADS (including AMG models). Arnott’s SK-3039 is a new rear shock absorber designed by Arnott for the 2003-2009 Mercedes-Benz E-class (W211 chassis) and 2005-2011 CLS-class (W219 chassis). It does not carry ADS or AIRMATIC, with or without With rear load balancing, except for AMG models.

The new shock absorber bypasses the aging and often problematic Adaptive Damping System (ADS) on these older vehicles, and includes a coil resistor that can be plugged into the vehicle's electrical system to eliminate any suspension dashboard warning lights. The new Arnott shock absorbers are suitable for the left and right sides of the application and include a custom valve and thoroughly road-tested shock absorbers to provide the excellent driving experience that Mercedes owners expect.

The shock absorber also includes a new polyurethane bumper block, new top and bottom mountings to provide a tight fit, and a protective dust cover.

Arnott's SK-3199 is a remanufactured OE rear shock absorber for 2003-2009 Mercedes-Benz E-class (W211 chassis) and 2005-2011 CLS-class (W219 chassis) AMG models, equipped with AIRMATIC and ADS without 4MATIC After remanufacturing with Arnott, OE before refilling with new high-performance shock-absorbing oil, the shock absorber is inspected, steam cleaned and rotary sandblasted to bare metal. Worn parts, such as pistons, rod guides, and seal packs, should be replaced before being reapplied with anti-corrosion paint. The shock and damping coils have undergone dynamometer and functional testing to ensure OE performance.

The company released the 2003-2009 Mercedes-Benz E-class (W211 chassis) and 2005-2011 CLS-class (W219 chassis) and ADS. Arnott’s new and remanufactured rear shocks are fully compatible with OE rear air springs and Arnott’s innovative rear air springs for E-class cars, and provide significantly faster and easier installation compared to OE.

Arnott also introduced a remanufactured OE rear shock absorber for the Mercedes-Benz R-Class (W251) equipped with AIRMATIC and ADS. SK-3262 is an OE rear shock absorber remanufactured by Arnott, suitable for the left or right side of 2006-2013 Mercedes R-class (W251 chassis), equipped with ADS and AIRMATIC, suitable for 4MATIC or rear-wheel drive Vehicles, excluding AMG models.

Arnott also re-manufactured the original front air pillars for the 2010-2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W212) and 2012-2017 CLS-Class (W218). Arnott's AS-3237 (right) and AS-3238 (left) are W212 chassis 2010-2016 Mercedes-Benz E-class and W218 chassis 2012-2017 CLS-class fully remanufactured OE front pillars, both with 4MATIC, AIRMATIC and ADS also include AMG models.

The OE pillars are inspected, disassembled, steam cleaned, and spin-blasted to form bare metal, and then repainted with anti-corrosion paint. Arnott remanufactured pillars use new high-quality level 1 components, such as ContiTech multilayer rubber airbags, heavy-duty crimp rings, O-rings, new air line joints and dust jackets to protect the air sleeve. This Arnott strut, remanufactured in the United States, has been designed and tested for use with the vehicle's semi-active damping and auto-leveling suspension control.
