Digital rendering revives classic Ford cars with a modern and charming appearance.

The Czech digital car renderer Rostislav Prokop is no stranger to aggressive car rendering, especially when adding wide-body kits to classic cars. His latest work is on the Ford Pinto. He adopted this American logo and added a large number of wings to it, and provided a full-width body kit for classic Ford models.

The best starting point is in the front. The distinctive Pinto anterior fascia is still obvious, but it has changed a lot. Across the lower half of the fascia is a huge front splitter, supported by struts across the middle, indicating how big the splitter is. At either end of the splitter, it has a distinct wing-like structure, presumably to help the air flow through the rest of the car and keep the front down pressure level quite high.

The chrome bumper on the front of the Pinto still exists, which is a feature of the first-generation Pinto. The front part also saw a large extension of the body panels and some huge wheel arches, marking the beginning of the wide-body kit.

The side profile of this Pinto is particularly aggressive. In the side skirt area, under the door, you can see the winglets. They are located in front of a long fin with a flick at the end in front of the larger rear wheel arch. The winglet seems to help guide the airflow from the front wheels, while the other fin and flick seem to help the airflow around the rear wheels and the new wider arch, eventually reaching the bottom of Pinto's rear.

Some drastic changes were also seen in the rear. The rear wheel arches are large and may be slightly larger than the front wheels. Above Pinto’s taillights is a lip-shaped spoiler and a pull-out lid on the rear windshield. Below all of this is a subtle but purposeful rear diffuser, which will eventually be where some of the airflow directed to the rest of the car will eventually reach. It should leave this completely changed pinto firmly on the ground. Happily, the rear dashboard still retains the classic Pinto lines and chrome bumpers.
