The Ford Bronco Sport Heritage Edition looks so darn cool, we want two of them - preferably one in each new color.

When the iconic Ford Bronco was brought back to life in 2021, it was the talk of the town. Despite the modern engineering, it retains the retro styling elements of the original, but brings world-class features and off-road capabilities that can give Mercedes G-Wagen buyers a run for their money. While it may not have a V8 under the hood, the fact it comes with an optional manual gearbox, is likely to draw-in some old-school enthusiasts.

The Ford has multiple strengths, which is what makes it such a smash hit in our market. The Wrangler may have ruled the roost among those who've wanted strong off-road credentials, even if they've never truly gone off the road. The Bronco can do everything a Wrangler can; it has removable doors, built-to-last materials on the inside, all-wheel drive and two turbo gasoline engines to choose from.

With the introduction of the all-new 2023 Bronco and Bronco Sport Heritage and Heritage Limited edition, Ford wants to take its customers back in time with styling elements that are a direct throwback to the original. These special edition models will be offered across the Bronco line-up, which includes the two-door, four-door and Bronco Sport SUVs. However, Ford will only build 1,966 units of each Heritage Limited Edition model - and that means you should already be at Ford dealerships if you want one. Our focus, for the moment, is on the Bronco Sport Heritage.

The Ford Bronco Sport looks like a classic, and Bronco enthusiasts couldn't be happier. The two-tone paintwork looks great along with the signature Oxford White accents, including the grille, its 17-inch aluminum heritage wheels and the modular hardtop roof. The Sport Heritage Edition gets 'BRONCO' lettering on the grille, unlike the Bronco Heritage Edition that gets 'FORD' lettering. The squared-off fenders look cool, and its compact dimensions have made it a popular among SUV buyers.

The lines remain, but the heritage theme has only further added to just how cool the Bronco Sport looks. The slab-like surfaces don't do the Bronco Sport any harm; in fact, we can't imagine the SUV without its signature proportions. The headlights and tail lights remain the same, but the new colors are sure to pull in customers in large numbers.

The Bronco Sport Heritage Edition gets plaid cloth seats, a Navy Pier instrument panel with Oxford White accents along the bin and door ring. The cloth seats get Navy Pier, along with plaid inserts and Race Red and Robin's Egg Blue accent stitching. The central console is covered in Navy Pier microsuede while the armrests feature Race Red stitching. The front-row seatbacks get the Bronco Sport MOLLE strap storage system in Navy Pier, while the zipper grips are Race Red. Even the original Bronco came with cloth seats in the Navy Pier color.

The Bronco Sport is said to have a lot of space and some nice innovations. The driver sits up-right, and there's good legroom in the back. Headroom isn't an issue either, because of the tall roofline, and with a roomy cargo area, there's place for two, full-grown Golden Retrievers. A slide-out table can be opted for, along with LED lamps integrated in the tail gate, providing light. The glass hatch and the built-in bottle opener remain. Beneath the back seats, you'll find a storage bin.

The Bronco Sport Heritage Edition is based on the Big Bend series, and that means you get a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, making 181hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. It features a H.O.S.S. system that includes increased height and tuned front struts that soften the off-road ride. The Terrain Management System features five G.O.A.T. modes, while the standard modes include Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery and Sand. It also gets a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that pushes out 250hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. It also features an advanced 4x4 system with a twin-clutch rear-drive unit, along with a differential lock. Both engines aren't particularly fuel efficient, but that is becuase Ford has designed them for performance.
